A highlight of the festival includes the world´s biggest ever digital light event, the Titanic Light Show (7 April) that will showcase the iconic new attraction in a creative visual display over the Easter holiday weekend.
Lord Mayor of Belfast Mayor, Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile, said: “This is another example of how Belfast City Council is taking the lead in hosting world class events – and this is just one part of the exciting Titanic Belfast Festival 2012”.
Visitors to Belfast are in for a real optical treat as the Titanic Belfast building comes to life through interactive installations accompanied by reactive visuals that will mutate and transform the incredible Titanic Belfast building into a stunning musical artwork.
However, there is good news! No matter where you are in the world, you too can be part of the biggest every digital light event that is inspired by the RMS Titanic herself. The event will be streamed live on the 7th of April on www.discoverireland.com making sure you can join in the festivities from all over the world.
The 40 minute audiovisual performance is a celebration of Belfast’s culture, heritage and bright future and is guaranteed to light up the slipways in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast and your computer screens.
