Marci and Jeff will explore everything related to Titanic during the show’s national, three-hour live broadcast to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the ship’s launch in Belfast and subsequent tragic sinking just off Canada’s Atlantic coast. Marci will also tell viewers about her Top Things to Do in Belfast, while Jeff will take viewers to Belfast’s very own Canadian Sports Bar, Rockies Sports Bar. Live music, Titanic artefacts and special interviews will also be part of the Titanic broadcast day.
Today, Jeff broadcasted live from the town of Carrickfergus, just north of Belfast, at Carrickfergus Castle. Jeff shared the castle’s history and the town’s relation to Titanic with viewers, and he also got a lesson in falconry and archery! Viewers were also taken on a tour of some of Northern Ireland’s most famous attractions, including the Causeway Coastal Route, the Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.
Tourism Ireland is also offering Canadians a chance to win a trip to the home of Titanic to explore some of the places Marci and Jeff visited on their Northern Ireland adventure. To enter for a chance to win visit www.discoverireland.com/canadaam
