The luxurious g Hotel in Galway City is renowned for its distinctive interior design and its newly refurbished spaces live up to its well-deserved reputation.
The hotel’s aim was to create a distinct identity for each of its signature lounges celebrating individuality and uniqueness.
Among the refurbished rooms is the Grand Salon, which has double height ceilings, views over Lough Atalia and a bespoke mirrored lighting installation by designer Tom Dixon. With luxurious leathers and textured fabrics in a palette of soft taupes, greys and plums, it retains its elegant sophistication.
The famous Pink Room has softened its look with blush pink velvets, tasselled chairs and brass accents. Its panelled walls, lined with a coral reef scene, evoke the Wild Atlantic Way on which Galway is a key stop.
The hotel’s other signature lounge, the Blue Room, has been refreshed with an inviting colour palette of ginger and charcoal, and a texture palette of leathers, timber and fabric wall panelling.
And the g Hotel’s restaurant has been remodelled into an open-plan space, opening onto a new garden terrace and featuring a new cocktail bar.
The g Hotel is a wonderful base from which to explore the bohemian delights of Galway City and the gorgeous landscape beyond.
