For the first time ever, Other Voices, Ireland’s iconic musical event and television show organisers, will join forces with the legendary Galway International Arts Festival to broadcast an extraordinary one-off livestream this September
The event, part of Other Voices’ ‘Courage’ series of performances which have been live streaming from unique Irish cultural locations since April, will take place on Friday 3 September from the fabulous setting of the thirteenth-century St Nicholas' Church in Galway city.
Together the pioneering festivals have curated a top-class line up featuring some of Ireland’s most exciting voices to perform as part of the Galway International Arts Festival’s 2021 programme, running this year from 28 August – 18 September.
The performers include Galway born dream-pop band and BBC 6 Music darlings NewDad, as well as the classically trained, charismatic and soulful afro-pop-star Tolü Makay.
Critically-acclaimed Galway girl, avant-garde composer and performer Anna Mullarkey will also take to the stage, as will the spectacular duo of gifted multi-instrumentalist Susan O’Neill and renowned Irish songwriter Mick Flannery, who will perform a very special set together ahead of their duets album to be released in September.
