From 25–28 November, Ireland’s most westerly town, picturesque Dingle in County Kerry, will stage the twentieth Other Voices festival, welcoming the brightest Irish and international performers to what has become for many artists, a hallowed space.
Once again, the 200-year-old Church of St James will be the venue for a series of intimate performances, promising songs for the head and the heart, while the IMRO Other Room will showcase rising musicians.
Among the artists performing are Villagers, Damian Dempsey, Sigrid, Fontaines D.C., John Grant, Kay Young, Houseplants, Aimée, Sam Fender and Gemma Dunleavy.
For those lucky enough to get tickets the event will be a magical experience. The good news for everyone else is that all of the performances at the Church of St James and the IMRO Other Room will be streamed live to venues across Dingle and will also be available to view free of charge on the Other Voices’ YouTube and Facebook.
Over the years Other Voices has attracted some of the most influential contemporary voices in the music industry including Amy Winehouse, Snow Patrol, Elbow, Rufus Wainwright, Jarvis Cocker, Damien Rice and Ellie Goulding.
