Dark sky adventures, paranormal investigations and spooky walking tours are just some of the spirited Halloween fun on offer in Northern Ireland.
Do something different this Halloween with a short break in Northern Ireland where all kinds of devilishly good Halloween experiences can be enjoyed.
Head for the starry skies of OM Dark Sky Park and Observatory in County Tyrone where a unique outdoor light show will transport you back in time. Celtic symbols, forest creatures and astronomical wonders will paint a picture of ancient times when the sacred festival of Samhain marked the beginning of winter and a time when spirits crossed over from the other side.
In astronomical terms, Halloween is significant as it marks the approximate midway point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. You can find out more about this and the link between archaeology and astronomy in the Stars and Stones experience.
If you dare to take part in a ghost hunt, sign up for Crumlin Road Gaol’s paranormal investigation event. Using professional ghost hunting equipment, you’ll seek out the spirits of executed prisoners in the hotspots where paranormal activity has been reported.
Or find out more about Halloween’s origins on a Foyle Trails walking tour that takes you through primeval landscapes, past archaeological sites and ancient habitats in the uplands of the River Foyle to explore the history and folklore of these special places.

For a relaxing Halloween experience, immerse yourself in forest bathing in the stunning surrounds of Slieve Gullion. On this sacred mountain you will connect with nature, awaken your senses and disconnect from the digital world.
There is also the opportunity to unwind at beautiful Mussenden temple on the spectacular Causeway Coast. Perched on a cliff overlooking golden sands the temple is the focal point for the Mussenden Unwind experiences which at Halloween will include dark sky photography and outdoor dining.
Lots of other top Northern Ireland attractions will be adding a Halloween dimension to their experiences including Belfast Trad Trail, Cranfield Alpacas and Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen, which is doing a special Witches on the Water and Ghoulish Pizzas by the Fire event.
And of course, the major event is Derry Halloween, Europe’s biggest Halloween festival where you can join thousands of revellers in this dazzling street celebration of all things spooky.
