Following a multi-million-pound investment, the Titanic Pumphouse in Belfast has been transformed into a world-class whiskey distillery and visitor centre.
Built in 1911, the Pumphouse was built as part of the infrastructure needed to build the massive White Star transatlantic liners Olympic, Titanic and Britannic and is a significant part of Belfast’s maritime history.
From 31 March 2023, new enterprise, Titanic Distillers, is offering visitors four immersive tours: the Signature Tour; the Premium Tour; the Dock Tour and the Legacy Tour.
The Signature Tour is a fully guided experience of the distillery and Pumphouse. It explores the sights and sounds of the historic building, which retains all the original pump equipment and internal features, followed by a sensory experience and tasting of Titanic Distillers’ award-winning Irish spirits.
The Titanic Distillers Premium Tour brings the rich heritage of Thompson Dock to life, while showcasing the ongoing innovations in the working distillery. The two-hour tour visits the historic Thompson Graving Dock, which was the largest in the world at the time it was built, and tours the Pumphouse. As well sampling the premium whiskey and vodka, visitors get to take home a collector's glass.
