[NEW YORK (June 20, 2022)] — World-renowned Irish tenor Michael Londra returns to Ireland this week to begin shooting Season #3 of his highly successful public television show “Ireland With Michael”. The critically acclaimed T.V. series shines a spotlight on Irish culture, music and history through the eyes of its greatest assets, its artists. Ireland with Michael began airing on public television stations in May 2021 and has since clocked over 7,500 individual episode airings on PBS stations across the U.S. broadcasting into 78% of all U.S. Households. *
Season #3, which will be released in early 2023, follows the same format as the previous seasons with 8 half-hour episodes that allows viewers to see the hidden treasures and majestic beauty of the “Emerald Isle” – all from the comfort of home. An Irish adventure of music, song, and dance. Michael invited local Irish tourist offices and tourist attractions to reach out with suggestions for inclusion in Season #3 and received an overwhelming response.

Ireland with Michael Londra takes viewers to intriguing, popular and some lesser-known Irish destinations to learn about Irish history, meet local artisans, experience small-town pubs and food, and enjoy VIP access to unique musical and cultural experiences. He combines glorious video footage of Ireland’s storied landscapes, fascinating travel destinations, exciting cultural experiences, and performances from Irish stars. In exploring the beauty tapestry of his homeland, Londra travels from county to county connecting with local musicians and artists and immersing viewers deep into Ireland’s rich cultural heritage.
The upcoming shoot sees the show’s crew heading out to counties Kerry, Roscommon, Derry, Donegal, Monaghan, Louth, Dublin and Londra’s homeland of Wexford. The jam-packed itinerary covers interviews and performances with some of Ireland’s best-known creatives such as Darina Allen, Moya Brennan, Riverdance, Aoife Scott and tenor Gavin Ring as well as showcasing up-and-coming talent such as Sasha Terfous (Wexford Poet Laureate), traditional music band Céol, fiddle player Damian McGeehan, harpist Una Walsh and concertina artist Shelly O’Grady.
Ireland With Michael is sponsored by Tourism Ireland, CIE Tours, and Aer Lingus. Season #3 will air on Public Television stations nationwide in January 2023. A live concert tour based on the television show will tour the US in March and April 2023 playing 24 cities in all.

About Michael Londra
Michael Londra is an Emmy®-nominated, Irish singer/producer from the opera capital of Ireland, a small town on the Southeast coast called Wexford. He decided in his early 30’s to follow his heart and pursue a professional singing career.
Michael’s first album “Celt” was produced by acclaimed producer, Steve Skinner, who co-produced the Grammy-nominated soundtrack of RENT. He has worked as an arranger/co-producer for Bette Midler and Celine Dion, and has collaborated many times with Arif Mardin, producer of Norah Jones’ acclaimed CD. The album was released in 15 countries worldwide, selling particularly well in Korea, where it reached Number 1 in the World Music Charts.
His PBS special, Beyond Celtic, which he co-produced with Mindfox Productions, was taped in March 2011, airing nationally over 400 times. The TV special earned two Emmy® nominations. Through several CD releases and his high-profile visits to Haiti, Michael has raised considerable awareness for
Concern Worldwide and helped bring the issue of poverty and hunger to the attention of the public.
In 2013, Michael became a mentor for Grammy® University teaching music business students from Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities in Nashville. Over the past 7 years, Michael built an annual hosted tour of Ireland for fans, which led to the current PBS series.
