The new
Visit Derry Pass provides discounted entry to 10 hand-picked attractions and activities across Northern Ireland’s second biggest city.
A winner for all ages and a great way to save money and time, the pass provides access to iconic sites such as The Guildhall, the Tower Museum, the Siege Museum and the Museum of Free Derry. Tours of Derry~Londonderry’s cathedrals and churches, and access to guided walking tour options that take in the bustle of the city, are also included. Valid for one or two days and convenient and easy to use, the pass is available as an instant mobile download to your smartphone or device.
Ticket-holders also receive a Visit Derry map, local tips and offers to help them make the most of a city-break destination at a place where the Causeway Coastal Route meets the Wild Atlantic Way.
Spanning either side of the River Foyle and filled with history and culture around every corner, the Walled City is simply a fantastic place to spend a few days. Its thriving culture, music, arts and foodie scenes, the gorgeous riverside setting, and a wealth of history, fine architecture and attractions are all complemented by the glorious seventeenth-century city walls.
The walls, up to 26 feet high and 30 feet wide, form a mile-long walkway around the inner city and a stroll around them provides unique viewpoints of the original Renaissance-style street plan and the chance to discover tons of stories.
A walk on the walls will also reveal the
Derry Girls mural on the side of Badger’s Bar. Featuring the programme’s five main characters, the colourful mural celebrates the hugely successful Channel 4 sitcom and the warmth and humour of the local people.
After you have used your Visit Derry Pass, explore the excellent shopping and Craft Village in the city centre or go kayaking on the River Foyle before taking a stroll over the famous Peace Bridge to Ebrington Square to taste the fantastic food and craft beer at the Walled City Brewery.
And once you have upacked the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland, you can explore the coastal charm and top attractions of the Causeway Coastal Route and the remote rocky coves of the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal.
The Visit Derry Pass is the first of its kind to be launched in Northern Ireland. Passes can be bought online or in person at the city’s
Visitor Information Centre.
