County Clare celebrates all things love each September
This traditional festival has become one of the most eagerly awaited dates on Ireland’s festival calendar as the streets of Lisdoonvarna will come alive with music and song, and buzz with dance, craic, and a love for life.
Every day, from 11 am in the morning to the early hours of the night, people gather in the village to have ‘craic’ and find love. The festival has all types of music from country, popular, soul, traditional and disco in the many venues in town. Dance the night away at the Hydro Hotel with two nightclubs, live music and bars or stroll to Meg Maguire’s, for more live music. There’s also midweek dancing in many venues around the village, including the Spa Well’s, Ireland’s oldest spa.
Singles can meet Ireland’s last traditional matchmaker Willie Daly in his office in the Matchmaker Bar in the Imperial hotel or attend our singles events such as ‘traffic light’ parties in the Hydro hotel. With over 60,000 people from all over the world coming, there really is no better place to have fun, party and find the love.
