Ireland welcomed the annual travel writers conference
Travel Classics International celebrate 'the best writing about the best places on earth'. Collecting stories, inspiring new works, and encouraging writers. For over a decade the Travel Classics Writers Conferences have worked as an important networking, marketing, and mentoring venue for a select segment of the travel media.
“National Geographic Traveler readers are wild about Ireland," says George Stone, Editor-in-Chief of the US travel bible. "They look to Ireland as a place of natural beauty, cultural depth, personal warmth, heritage, and the sort of awe that comes from feeling at home far away."
This years conference took place from May 18-21 at Lyrath Estate Hotel, bringing together writers, influencers and editors from publications including National Geographic Traveler, Condé Nast Traveler and Harper’s Bazaar. The attendees represent publications with a combined circulation of 87 million in North America.
Directly following the conference in Kilkenny, several media trips took place showcasing the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's Ancient East, Northern Ireland and Dublin.
Travel Classics writer Lisa Niver travelled to the conference in May and shared this video from her visit;
