House of the Dragon is the next epic adventure in the realm of Westeros and it promises fire, blood, and high drama. Set three centuries earlier than Game of Thrones, it recounts the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The mighty, mythical dragons play a leading role in the series, as they did in Game of Thrones, and fans can get up close and personal with them by visiting the Game of Thrones® Studio Tour Northern Ireland.
The world’s only official Game of Thrones Studio Tour offers visitors the opportunity to discover the secrets behind the making of the most successful TV shows in history.
The tour takes guests from the frozen North, down to King’s Landing and the famous Throne Room, which also features strongly in House of the Dragon. It passes through the authentic sets of Winterfell and Dragonstone – the ancestral home of the House of Targaryen.
The original costumes, weapons and props used in the filming of Game of Thrones are on display as well as initial concept sketches for the show.
The interactive Tour also invites guests to discover how green screen CGI was used to create fantastical scenes of flying, fire-breathing dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion.
