Winter is here and the evenings are closing in, but on a positive, you can now soak up the stunning Dublin skyline at dusk from the roof of the iconic Croke Park stadium.
Croke Park’s Ericsson Skyline Dusk Tours return this weekend for the winter season until January. They have been extended due to popular demand after last year’s hugely successful run.
These special tours will give you the opportunity to enjoy unparalleled night-time panoramic city views and insights into Dublin’s celebrated landmarks as you watch the Capital move from twilight to darkness. Combine this with the thrill of walking on the rooftop of the famous stadium, which is 17 storeys or 44 metres high, and this is definitely a must for those with a sense of adventure!
If you go in the run up to Christmas, Dublin will look like it has been sprinkled with festive fairy-dust, and the magic won’t stop there! The Skyline tour guides, some of the finest storytellers in the city, will weave tales from the city’s rich history and also include some Christmas stories from the local area.
All dusk tours will end with a complimentary hot drink in the GAA Museum’s Blackthorn Café. You will also get complimentary access to the GAA Museum, which vividly illustrates the story of Gaelic games from ancient times to the present day. Featured exhibitions include the original Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups, the official GAA Hall of Fame and the Interactive Games Zone where everyone can test their hurling and football skills.
It’s a great idea for a family and friends’ outings, romantic date nights, or even a surprise proposal!
Beginning on October 27 2017, the tours, which last 1.5hours, will run on Fridays and Saturdays in November and January and Thursday to Sundays in December.
Tickets are available to book online at a special discounted rate of €15 for adults and €10 for children. Concession tickets for students and seniors are €12 and a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) is priced at €42. Please note, children must be 1.2 metres (approx. four foot) or taller to take the tour.
