The walls, up to 26 feet high and 30 feet wide, form a mile-long walkway around the inner city and a stroll around them provides unique viewpoints of the original Renaissance-style street plan and the chance to discover tons of stories.
A walk on the walls will also reveal the Derry Girls mural on the side of Badger’s Bar. Featuring the programme’s five main characters, the colourful mural celebrates the hugely successful Channel 4 sitcom and the warmth and humour of the local people.
After you have used your Visit Derry Pass, explore the excellent shopping and Craft Village in the city centre or go kayaking on the River Foyle before taking a stroll over the famous Peace Bridge to Ebrington Square to taste the fantastic food and craft beer at the Walled City Brewery.
And once you have upacked the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland, you can explore the coastal charm and top attractions of the Causeway Coastal Route and the remote rocky coves of the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal.
The Visit Derry Pass is the first of its kind to be launched in Northern Ireland. Passes can be bought online or in person at the city’s Visitor Information Centre.
