For twenty years the Trad on the Prom show in Salthill, County Galway, has been wowing audiences with its high-energy, passionate dance and music performances. With a world-class cast of performers, the show has made a name for itself as a must-see on any visit to Ireland’s spectacular Wild Atlantic Way.
The current cast includes the amazing vocal talent of Máirín Fahy (featured soloist with Riverdance and The Chieftains) who is joined on stage by her outstanding band including Chris Kelly, Gerard Fahy (composer of the smash hit dance show Lord of the Dance), Yvonne Fahy, Padraig Rynne and Colm Henry. The traditional Irish music played in the show features the unique sounds of the bodhran, whistles, uileann pipes, accordions, concertina, bouzuki, guitars, keyboards and percussion.
The Trad on the Prom dancers have an astounding 27 World Titles between them. They include World Champions Claire Greaney, Cathal Keaney (lead Lord of the Dance), Sylvia Carroll, Owen Gaughan, Evan O’Brien and Colm Conneely.
Also on stage are TikTok sensations Dara Kelly and Ronan O'Connell, co-founders of Cairde, whose dance videos have over three million followers. They perform fun dance-offs to exhilarating trad rock music.
